Copilot usage is paid in GitHub AI Credits (1 credit = $0.01). Chat, agent mode, code review, the cloud agent and Copilot CLI use credits; code completions don't and stay unlimited on paid plans. Credits reset monthly. Each paid plan's total is base credits plus a flex allotment, which GitHub says may change over time. For Max, the FAQ says Max includes $100/month in credits (the base amount).
