Usage limits, explained
What each plan's quota means in plain English, copied from the official pages. Vendors rarely publish exact token counts, so where they don't, we say so.

How do Claude Code usage limits work?
Claude Pro gives at least 5x Free usage per 5-hour session, plus weekly limits. Max 5x ($100/mo) and Max 20x ($200/mo) give 5x or 20x Pro usage per session, plus a weekly limit. Anthropic doesn't publish these as token or message counts.
How many Codex messages do I get on ChatGPT Plus?
OpenAI estimates 15-160 local messages per 5 hours on GPT-6.1 Sol and 350-3,000 on GPT-6 Luna, with weekly limits possible. Pro plans currently have no five-hour limit.
What is a GitHub AI Credit?
One GitHub AI Credit is $0.01. Copilot Pro includes $15/mo of credits in total and Pro+ $70/mo. Completions don't use credits on paid plans.
How do Lovable credits work?
Lovable Free gives 5 build credits a day (up to 30 a month). Pro gives 100 monthly credits plus 5 daily credits, and unused credits roll over.
How do Cursor usage limits work?
Cursor plans share one usage pool that refreshes weekly. Premium gives 4x Plus usage, Super 15x and Ultra 50x.
